ACA 4 STL – this is how we named our recent endeavor to support diverse communities of Saint Louis. Joint efforts bring about great results as we begin educating immigrant communities on Affordable Care Act. Having partnered with Behavioral Health Network and Vitendo 4 Africa, our multilingual staff is preparing for a busy Marketplace enrollment season. Enrollment isn’t only for those who have no healthcare coverage. It also provides an opportunity to look at available plans, choose a more suitable option or make any changes to the existing coverage. To those who do not speak English as their first language, understanding of ACA is especially challenging. We thank Missouri Foundation for Health for supporting our efforts and providing necessary funding. Missouri Foundation for Health is a resource for the region, working with communities and nonprofits to generate and accelerate positive changes in health. As a catalyst for change, the Foundation improves the health of Missourians through a combination of partnership, experience, knowledge and funding.
