Project Coordinator - Services to Trauma Affected Refugees (STAR)
The full-time (40 hours/week) STAR Coordinator, reporting to the Project Director (Executive Director) will oversee the implementation of a new, integrated Refugee Mental Health program funded through the Office of Refugee Resettlement that provides multiple types of mental health interventions and case management activities to refugees whose experiences with trauma impact their ability to adapt and thrive in their new environment. Services are provided in a variety of settings, either virtually, in-office or in clients’ homes and community locations with either same-language staff or contracted professional interpreters. The STAR Project Coordinator will oversee the screening of over one hundred potential program clients annually, conduct initial consultation with clients on service selection, help oversee the program’s service lines, and prepare program reports for review. The position also has a number of attached duties including overseeing Community Advisory Boards and interacting with partnered agencies and service professionals. The position also requires one trip annually to Washington D.C. for several days of federal meetings.
Case Manager - Services to Trauma Affected Refugees (STAR)
The full-time (40 hours/week) STAR Case Manager, reporting to the STAR Project Coordinator, will provide trauma-informed case management to refugee individuals and families whose experiences with trauma impact their ability to adapt and thrive in their new environment. Services are provided in a variety of settings, either virtually, in-office or in clients’ homes. Services are provided in the language most comfortable for each client, either by staff members who speak the same language or by collaborating with trusted professional interpreters as needed. Case Manager will support families enrolled in refugee mental health programming funded through the Office of Refugee Resettlement.
Part-Time Interpreters and Translators
We hold contracts with freelance interpreters and translators and we always welcome inquires from qualified interpreters and translators in any language.
