Project Coordinator – St. Louis Partnership for Survivors of Torture

The full-time (40 hours/week) St. Louis Partnership for Survivors of Torture Project Coordinator, reporting to the Project Director (Executive Director) will manage and oversee the agency’s holistic, integrated service program. This program provides mental health therapy, psychiatry, case management, and legal services to refugee, immigrant, and asylum-seeking communities in the St. Louis area. Services are provided in a variety of settings, either virtually, inoffice, or in clients’ homes and community locations with either samelanguage staff or contracted professional interpreters. This role will oversee the program’s service lines and prepare program reports for review. The position also requires one trip annually to Washington D.C. for several days of federal meetings.  

Partnership Project Coordinator Job Duties:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and support a team of mental health therapists and case workers to deliver integrated, trauma-informed services. 
  • Work with program therapists and case managers to ensure compliance with requirements of grants and the Missouri Department of Mental Health standards for Outpatient Mental Health Programs. 
  • Ensure administration of required assessments and interventions in a timely and client-centered manner 
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of services  
  • In conjunction with Behavioral Health Advisor, oversee and organize access to psychiatric services via an established clinic relationship, track clinic caseload, and help transfer clients to other psychiatric care if possible 
  • In collaboration with Client Services Coordinator, lead regular meetings with case managers, both individually, and as a team to review treatment and discharge planning, as well as progress toward achievement of client goals. 
  • Collaborate with local and national partners such as the International Institute, partnering psychiatrists, Casa de Salud, and National Consortium for Torture Treatment Providers (NCTTP).  
  • Serve as a resource for case managers seeking additional assistance for difficult client concerns. 
  • Ensure that all program staff have professional development (PD) goals related to trauma treatment and that all are availing themselves of PD offerings. 
  • Collaborate with Project Director to regularly compile, analyze, and aggregate data for reporting to federal funders. 
  • Review and approval of payroll submissions for project staff 
  • Work sensitively and flexibly with interpreters as needed. 
  • Approach all clientele with cultural humility. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

 Minimum Requirements: 

  • Active and in good standing clinical license or advanced degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited college or university (or a combination of education and relevant experience) 
  • 4 years’ direct service experience delivering mental health or clinical case management services, 2 years of supervisory experience 
  • Knowledge of and experience with trauma-informed and trauma-focused mental health and case management service delivery 
  • Skills to effectively use electronic data management tools such as electronic health record systems and Excel 
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable personal transportation 
  • Successful completion of state and federal background check, Missouri Family Care Safety Registry, and employability check 
  • Ability and desire to work with a highly diverse team of people who are deeply committed to serving our clients and who show up fully-engaged to creatively meet clients’ and colleagues’ needs. 
  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency (including Excel)  
  • Bilingual language skills and/or familiarity with working with interpreters is a plus. 
  • Experience with grant reporting and administration is a plus 
  • Lived experience, prior work with refugee clients, work experience in refugee camps abroad or with migration-related trauma is preferred. 

Benefits:

  • Program budgeted salary: $55,000/year
